BOLLYWOOD DREAMS
One of the wonderful more recent surprises in the world of international children's cinema has been Bollywood's production of several films for young people. This year we proudly present two of the best, combining incomparable Bollywood flash and fun with positive social commentary. And we're continuing the glitzy theme in a CHILDREN'S PARADE and BOLLYWOOD PARTY courtesy of Xanadu Productions (producer's of MVFF 2011's Circus Parade).
We're also highlighting our seven-year relationship with Croatia's SAF Cakovec children's animation studio by screening SAF shorts before all Children's FilmFest features. And thanks to an exchange program facilitated by David Kwan and Sarah Klein from Stop and Go Animation, we're offering kids 8-12 a weekend animation workshop with SAF's Jasminka Bijelic Ljubic.

ABOUT SUBTITLES
To enhance our very young viewers’ appreciation of foreign-language movies, we have actors read subtitles aloud. Where we can, we play the readings through individual headphones, to allow those who do not require the service to experience the film without hearing the reader. We have a limited number of headsets, and offer them on a first-come, first-served basis to young people only. Films with readers are marked thus:
Indicates subtitles with headphones
Indicates subtitles read aloud
AGE RECOMMENDATIONS
The age range following each program description is a suggestion only. It cannot adequately address everyone's sense of appreciation or inappropriate content. Each child is different, and each parent has different standards.
